Rick's Road Trip Mon Oct 27/Tues Oct 28

Next Day

Mon: in New Oleans. Arrived Sun midday.
I stayed in the French Quarter. It is definitely unique. Bourbon street was like I quessed it would be. At night they block off the street and it becomes a pedestrian walkway. Some streets are also blocked to cars during the day and as you can see from the photos, street performers take advantage. Canal street is a shopping street and divides the Downtown area from the French Quarter. Needless to say my first day/night there , I felt it was my duty to sample the beer at several establishments. Some places had signs that said "3 for 1". Well, order one and get 3 for the same price. Must be another alternate universe. The sign in the botoom row of photos is rather unique. Can't imagine that Hermosa would do that at the pier area. Tues: In New Oleans, on the road to Memphis, Tennessee
